Title: Not So Vanilla
Author: Morgan Noel
Release Date: 3/30
Bartholomew’s life is perfect. He’s got a job he loves, he’s in a committed relationship with his loving boyfriend who appreciates his neurotic tendencies, social anxiety, and general awkwardness. It’s not ‘white-picket-fence-and-Golden-Retriever’-perfect, but their nice little apartment in the city and the cat they rescued from the shelter come pretty close. The domestic bliss gets disturbed when his boyfriend Kyle brings a very hot friend from high school into their sanctuary, making both of them wonder if perhaps ‘perfect’ is as relative as good sex.
This book is a sticky and delicious MMM romance that is hot and a little dirty with a surprise for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Not So Vanilla is the first book I’ve read by Morgan Noel, and I gotta say, this one was pure fire.
Bartholomew (Mew) is a total sweetheart. He is shy and awkward and gets a bit anxious. When his boyfriend invites a friend to live with them, Mew isn’t one hundred percent on board. Especially when he meets their new roommate.
I think the best thing about this book was how perfectly it captured the evolution of a relationship. Kyle and Mew are happy together. They have a good, content life, but Mew starts having doubts on whether he brings enough spice to their relationship. It starts this sexual exploration for Mew, and gosh, he was too freaking cute. I had mega feels for him.
Then there’s the attraction to bad-boy roommate, Adam. He has absolutely no filter, and it blew up the chemistry to the nth degree. *explosion noise*
I will say that the ending left me wanting more, however. I wasn’t completely sold on it. But honestly? It’s a drop in the bucket considering the binge-read this turned out to be.
Can I also ask where all the cats are in romance novels these days? Boots was the icing on this fantastic sundae! If you’re wanting to indulge in an endearing, smoking hot read you need Not So Vanilla in your life. And let me tell you, you’ll never look at a doughnut the same way again!
